Dr. Nutor said that he was prompted to make this personal donation due to his first-hand experience of the challenge in getting books to study when he began his nursing career in Ghana. He expressed the hope that students and faculty would use them as reference points to acquire more knowledge and the necessary nursing skills to enable them provide the people of Ghana with the best healthcare.

Receiving the donation on behalf of SONAM, the incoming Dean, Prof. Peter Adatara, thanked Dr. Nutor for his kind gesture towards the school. He also said that Dr. Nutor would be assisting the School of Nursing and Midwifery in several ways during his stay, including working with the Dean to review the Bachelor of Nursing Sandwich programme curriculum, assisting faculty to develop a new Master of Nursing Management and Leadership programme, and organizing professional workshops/ training on innovative teaching skills for faculty. Dr. Nutor will also leverage his international experience to mentor faculty on their research and career progression, as well as the post graduate student mentorship programme, which was launched earlier this year.
