Mr Japiong Milipaak is a Tutor and Access Course Coordinator in the School of Nursing and Midwifery of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana. Prior to this, he was a Senior Nursing Officer at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Education
He had his Diploma in registered general nursing at the Tamale Nurses’ and midwifery Training College in Ghana, and later pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana and a Master of Science in Advanced Nursing Practice at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana.
Work Experience
He practiced as a clinical nurse for 8 years at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. During this period, he worked in the following departments: Accident and Emergency, Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Out Patient departments (OPD). He also works as invigilator and examiner for the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana for the final licensing examinations from 2009 to 2016. He was a preceptor for nursing students from the University for Development Studies, Tamale, University of Cape Coast, Nalerigu Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Tamale Nursing and Midwifery Training College among others.
Science / Research output
Mr Japiong research interest area include maternal, child and adolescent health, clinical nursing research especially care of the acutely ill patient, client satisfaction with healthcare delivery, infection prevention and control techniques among nurses. He has research publication in peer review journal with several others at various stages of peer review.
