Madam Veronica Ofosua Adjei Salia is a lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. Prior to her current appointment, she taught at the Nurses’ Training college, Pantang for 13years. A member of the West African College of Nursing and Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives, she is a nurse by profession.
Education
She had her nursing education at the Nurses Training College Korle-Bu in Accra and later pursued a post graduate diploma in education at the University of Cape Coast, she obtained a bachelor of nursing degree and master of philosophy degree in nursing from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Work experience
She worked at the Maamobi polyclinic as a general nurse at the emergency unit, OPD and later at the ENT unit as the nurse in-charge for three years. She taught medical nursing and basic nursing at the Nurses Training College, Pantang where she contributed to the improvement of students’ practical licensing examination results and general performance in the licensing examination. She has been an examiner and chief examiner for the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana for the past six years and has assisted the council in providing suggestions at the individual level and at fora organized by the council. She is currently serving as a member of a five member committee for coordinating students’ patients and family care study and licensing examination at the School of Nursing and Midwifery University of Health and Allied Sciences.
Science/Research output
Madam Veronica Salia’s area of research is diabetes. She has two manuscript ready to be submitted to peer-reviewed journals for publication.
